Today we’re getting under the hood of Kirthika Parmeswaran a mother, daughter, sister, Founder, CEO and a Board Member of Vital Start Health, an innovative reproductive and maternal mental health company using Virtual Reality from the University of Pennsylvania.
Kirthika is a Wharton alum, with deep expertise across business and technology. She has won numerous awards and honors, including Outstanding Leadership in Healthcare award, DARPA award, ACE & MVP awards for outstanding contribution to the company’s success.
She is an impactful thought leader and has held key positions in R&D at Ericsson Telcordia an Ericsson company working on product innovation, cross-functional management, sales and strategy.
Her passion for women’s health stems from her own experience with postpartum depression and the clear unmet need for equitable, accessible, next generation of care across pre-conception, birthing and postpartum.
She feels strongly that in the age of driverless cars and ChatGPT, there is a clear need to disrupt the status quo and drive innovation into age-old challenges such as mental health and well-being.
She was selected by University of Pennsylvania to lead Vital Start and has grown the venture with a stellar team, advisors, and an equitable vision of impacting millions of families.
